Wine
Clonakilla Ceoltóiri (pronounced 'keel-toy-ree') is a blend inspired by the Châteauneuf du Pape southern Rhône style. It is named after the Celtic word for 'musicians'.
The wine is typically Grenache (50%) with Mourvèdre (30%) and smaller amounts of the Shiraz, Cinsault, Counoise and Roussanne varieties. Like musicians when they play together they create the whole.
The fruit is destemmed and fermented as whole berries. The wine ages over 12 months in French oak puncheons.
Crimson red, Clonakilla Ceoltóiri is a lighter styled red with vibrant fruit flavours, fresh acidity and a persistent finish. Cellaring potential is nine years.
